Gameplay Features

Layer Breaker is a progression-based clicker built around breaking outfits, collecting resources, unlocking new systems, and stacking upgrades over time.

Core Progression

• Breakable Outfit System – Progress through layered outfits with multiple break stages.
• XP and Leveling – Gain XP from clicks, level up, and work through scaling requirements and level caps.
• Underwear Bonuses – Each underwear set provides different bonuses that can change how you progress.
• Prestige System – Reset your run and return with permanent advantages.
• Heart Streak – Build and maintain streaks for improved rewards.

Currencies and Upgrades

• Multiple Currencies – Cloth, Silver Cloth, Gold Cloth, and Hearts each have their own uses.
• Upgrades – Improve break chance, XP gain, penalties, currency rewards, and more.
• Auto Clicker – Unlock automation and improve it through further upgrades.
• Skill Tree – Earn skill points through clicking and unlock new bonuses, currency gains, and special nodes.
• XP Overflow – XP earned beyond the current cap is converted into Overflow for additional progression.

Gifts and Unlocks

• Gifts System – Collect and equip gifts with a wide range of bonuses and unique effects.
• Achievements – Track milestones and long-term progression.
• Rare Unlocks – Some content is earned through rare drops and extended progression.

Customisation

• Hairstyles and Colours – Unlock new hairstyles and colour options.
• Outfit Variations – Change the appearance of outfits and underwear.
• Face Toggles – Adjust character expressions and facial details.

Helpers and Statistics

• Detailed Stats Pages – Track both run-based and lifetime progress.
• Progress Helpers – View estimated upgrade completion times, clicks per second, cloth per second, and underwear XP progress.
• Reroll System – Reroll prices and increase price variance through upgrades.

Presentation

• Day, Evening, and Night Cycle – The background changes as time passes.
• Music and Sound Controls – Multiple tracks with separate volume controls.

Progression Notes

• Different systems begin interacting more as progression continues.
• Prestiging becomes increasingly important for reaching later upgrades and bonuses.
• Some unlocks are designed around longer-term play and repeated runs.

Development Status

Layer Breaker is no longer in early access.

The core systems are complete, and the game is fully playable from beginning to end. Future updates may still add new gifts, hairstyles, upgrades, quests, balance changes, and other content, but the main experience is already in place.
